Sarah Palin likes rap and Rick Scott can rappel

Sarah Palin Common Objections:

There are some subjects that potential candidates for office should steer clear of altogether, non-issues that are irrelevant to the economy, education, or national defense. Sarah Palin appears to seek out these hot button topics that energizes her base, alienates the middle and propel revenue of her book sales and public appearances into millions.

“I’m not anti-rap. In fact, like Bret Baier, I know the lyrics to ‘Rapper’s Delight,’ too.”- Sarah Palin

This is in response to the rapper Common being invited to a poetry session in the White House. Common laid down some gangster rap lyrics a few years back, and Palin is one of the critics that object to the President’s invitation. She tweeted and when she tweets people listen. You can watch her full tv interview here.

I wasn’t crazy about Common’s invite. I think you can do a little better but, this kind of interview isn’t going to gain you any points in a general election. Palin can walk into the primary and in this field probably poll at 1 or 2, but her opinions on matters like these only sell books, they don’t get you elected.

Palin needs to fight battles dealing with economy, not poetry

Rick Scott Rappels:

Press Corp evasion training?

Look at Governor Rick Scott being hardcore! You think Bill McCullom or Alex Sink would be doing that? That is Florida’s Governor rappelling down the air assault tower at the Fort Blanding National Guard facility. Scott did four years in the Navy and is a runner so, he’s not a complete stranger to physical activity.

Our Governor is a lot of things, at least he’s not a wimp.

Update: Rick “Tiger” Scott

This pic just showed up of our guv at the player’s championship, practicing his swing. Tiger Wood’s withdrew due to injury earlier today, I wonder if they’ll run into each other in the club house.
