Anthony Weiner Photos were Real, Apologizes but will not resign

In Uncategorized on June 6, 2011 at 10:27 pm

Earlier this afternoon, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), one of the biggest partisan scrappers in the House of Representatives admitted that lewd Twitter photos sent last week from his account, were indeed his.

“I was trying to protect my wife, I was trying to protect myself from shame, and I really regret it,” Weiner said, in a teary eyed press conference. His wife did not attend.

Last week, Weiner had called the photos a prank and said that he was going to hire a private firm to investigate. He called one reporter a “jackass” and insisted that he was only concerned about the issues at hand. This blog had a post on his outburst a couple of days back.

Weiner isn’t going anywhere he said “I’m not resigning, and I’m going to try very hard to go back to work a better man and a better husband too,”

He should resign.

This guy is in New York so, you might not be familiar with his behavior. He’s one of those lawmakers who treats the house floor, like off-broadway Shakespeare. He tries to banish evil conservatives that are all wicked and want the poor to suffer. He excels at shouting matches on the taxpayer’s dime and is one of the loudest voices in the room when it comes to selecting the corny insult, over the sensible solution.

In the last post he was called an Alan Grayson knock-off, now he’s an Alan Grayson-Tiger Woods hybrid, who will no doubt be throwing verbal bombs at the other side in a couple of months. We’re a forgiving society with a short memory.

Weiner was suppose to be a front runner for New York Mayor in the next race, it’s a good thing he confessed. Now, NYC can elect a Mayor that can serve with the integrity their city deserves.

The tears won't make up for his lack of integrity or civility in Washington
