Perfect Attendance: Sandy Adams hasn’t missed a vote.

What was that inspiring quote from Keanu Reeves, in that one movie?

“I know Kung Fu”

No, not that one! The one where he’s coaching a little league baseball team on the south side of Chicago.

“What I’ve learned from you is that really one of the most important things in life is showing up.”

Keanu preached that showing up is indeed important.

There you go. That’s from the motion picture “Hardball” and from the plethora of sage like advice uttered by Keanu Reeves, this one reflects on the performance of a Central Florida Congresswoman.

The New York Times released House attendance records this week and Sandy Adams from D24 was listed as never missing a vote.

The former State Representative from Oviedo has been perfect since defeating former D24 Congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas last November. In the chaotic environment of Congress, Adams hasn’t let the plush D.C lifestyle deter her from what the voters sent her up there to do…work.

Other districts in the country haven’t been so lucky. From tragic events like the shootings in Tuscon that Rep. Gabrielle Giffords has been recovering from, to silly ones like Rep. John Campbell from California, taking the day off to attend a Prince William/Kate Middleton reception, a lot of Representatives miss votes.

Not Sandy Adams, not this year anyways.

So, as I’ve teased before, she’s not flashy (quite the opposite really) or tearing up cable television with sound bytes but, she’s working and communicating with constituents. She’s showing up and the fact she’s one of only 15 members of the House that can say she’s never missed a vote, that is amazing.

Keanu would be proud.
