Wednesday Morning Political Headlines: First Lady Visits, Citrus Bowl Fix passes OC Commission

In Uncategorized on July 11, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Lots of great video content for you today!

We’ve got plenty of coverage of the First Lady Michelle Obama’s visit to UCF. It was a scorching day at the country’s biggest university and some were turned away but the ones that did get to see the First Lady’s speech were pleased.

The Orange County Commission also passed the plan to renovate the Citrus Bowl. We’ve got some great footage on that. Mayor Teresa Jacobs asks the board “if we’re playing a game of political chicken” and “are we willing to sacrifice the project for this one issue”. This was the straight talking lawmaker that won by a landslide in 2010.

Another great interview with Orlando Sentinel Op-Ed Board. This time it’s Geraldine Thompson in the hot seat. Her opponent Victoria Siplin declined the paper’s invitation which is always ill advised.

A lot of great material. These stories lead off your Wednesday morning political headlines.
