Monday Morning Political Headlines: Stunt Week

In Uncategorized on August 6, 2012 at 1:20 pm

It’s Monday and after a weekend of early voting and candidates scrambling for last minute votes, we’re left with just over a week before the primary elections.

I like to call this, Stunt Week because candidates will try to get the last word in with the voters before election day and the best way to do that is with a big endorsement or announcement. The mail is already gone, the ads are up, this is often the only way to earn media coverage. Sometimes they work, other times they don’t.

It’s going to be a busy week. Here are your Monday morning political headlines.

WOFL Fox 35: Obama to sign veterans measure, then campaign

Orlando Sentinel: Lake Sheriff Gary Borders faces challenge from Orange lawman Sandy Carpenter

WFTV 9 Eyewitness News: Mix of musicians to play private parties at RNC

WESH 2: (CNN) Romney says no to more Fed stimulus efforts

WKMG Local 6: (CNN) Obama closer to breaking even on jobs

Do Lamar or Ashton have something waiting for each other this week?
