Wednesday Morning Political Headlines: Biden, TS Issac head to RNC

In Uncategorized on August 22, 2012 at 1:20 pm

It’s starting to look like an epic party.

As we move closer the Republican National Convention in Tampa next week, two more guests have intentions of attending, both uninvited, both reckless forces of nature.

Tropical Storm Issac is swirling out in the ocean as we speak, and many models have the storm strengthening into a hurricane and possibly hitting Tampa on Monday. This has organizers scrambling to take the necessary precautions to avoid derailing the event that’s on a Superbowl sized scale.

Then there is Vice-President Joe Biden.

Biden has announced intentions of visiting Tampa during the convention with the intentions of providing some counter-programming for local Democrats and to steal some media coverage from the event. The Vice-President has had a tough couple of months, first his comments on gay marriage forced President Obama to deliver his message on the issue pre-maturely, and he recently accused Republican fiscal policies of trying to put Americans “back in chains”. There was even recent buzz that he might have been replaced on the ticket earlier this year.

Those stories and more investigations of waste by the VA with tax payer funded conferences lead your Wednesday morning political headlines.
