Friday Morning Political Headlines: Rick Scott talks jobs in Orlando, Romney in Apopka Saturday

In Uncategorized on October 5, 2012 at 2:14 pm

This morning we’ve got Florida Governor Rick Scott in the City Beautiful making the rounds with local media. He’ll be talking about the newly opened Nemours Hospital and his plans to keep creating jobs in the Sunshine State. Scott’s approval numbers usually improve slightly after he pairs these media tours with favorable job numbers. There are already challengers thinking about going after the Governor when he is up for re-election in 2014, including former Governor Charlie Crist, State Senator Nan Rich (who is already in), and 2010 challenger Alex Sink. There has also been a lot of buzz about Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer running.

We’ve also got Mitt Romney in Apopka on Saturday. The GOP nominee will make a triumphant return the center of the I4 corridor after his favorable debate performance on Wednesday.

Have a great weekend!
