Here is your State Senate 14 race preview between Democrat Darren Soto and Republican William McBride.

Florida Politics with Frank Torres and we are breaking down one of the more complicated races in the state legislature, that is Florida State Senate District 14 between Darren Soto and William “Abogado William” McBride. What make this race so complicated is the money, Darren Soto has been able to raise more, than McBride but, he’s independently wealthy, so you’ve got a war over where the cash is going and how it’s being spent. One big factor for Darren Soto is the Democratic turnout, Soto has been out there introducing President Obama during his appearances or warming up for him you’ll say. And he keeps a regular high profile in the media. If the Democrats have a good turnout that will certainly favor Darren Soto in this race, as for Mcbride, his GOTV efforts will have to step up and we’ll have to see how that shakes up in this race. As well as the organizations behind these campaign donations. The donors that typically line up behind Republicans or Democrats, that hasn’t been the case, that’s been mixed up in this race, but it’s too tough to call at this point. But the more Democratic turnout we get the more Darren Soto will be favored. But a very complicated race. A big money race to break down. This is Florida Politics with Frank Torres and I’ll see you next time.

  1. thanks for basically saying nothing, Frank! How about one issue next time and where they stand???
